If you have an early flight from LHR and are thinking of taking the HEX, here's an option: LCY to Earl's Court and then a car service from there to the airport.

The walk from the eastbound Circle line platform to the Lawn ticket hall is step-free at Paddington, with an escalator up from the Lawn to the main concourse.ĭLR to Canning Town, Jubilee line to Westminster and Circle line to Paddington will probably take an hour and a half if all goes well, but the Oyster PAYG fare per person will be just £2.50. Alight at Westminster where again there are lifts up to the ticket hall and street level for a taxi to Paddington or (you'll need to be brave as the station will likely be heaving with people on a Friday afternoon) change to a Circle line train for the journey to Paddington (again via lifts in Westminster station). You could take the DLR to Canning Town and change ther (via escalator or lift) to the Jubilee line towards Stanmore. The only problem with taking the Underground to Paddington is that unless you choose the route carefully you'll need to navigate stairs, which may not be desirable with baggage. The station is less than a five minute walk from the airport along a covered walkway - signage at LCY is decent and you shouldn't get lost. The DLR station at LCY is a full service station, so you may buy Oyster cards there.
